Dear Friends,
Holy Spirit is an amazing place and so it is a privilege to welcome you to the fellowship we experience with Christ. Everything you will see and experience flows out of our relationship with God. God is so amazing. We desire all who cross paths with our community to be welcomed and touched by the Holy Spirit. Our strongest desire though is to encounter each person, meet then where they are, and walk with them as a friend. CLICK HERE TO START GETTING PARISH EMAILS OR TEXTS or CLICK HERE TO REGISTER ONLINE.
Worshiping God
Sunday service (Holy Mass) is the pinnacle of what we do and who we are. Jesus Christ promised to remain with us and nowhere can this be experienced better than on Sunday. Welcomed around the celebration of the Lord’s coming to us in the Eucharist, we strive to have dynamic preaching and of course engaging music. Whether it's the upbeat music at the 11 am Mass or the spectacular 9 am choir or beautiful organ at 4 pm Saturday evening, our hearts are lifted up in prayer.
Taking you deeper
Our world is filled with sound bytes and flash. But we long for depth. We were made to be in union with God, we were made to pray. Uniquely in our area, Holy Spirit thrives in leading people deeper. Most of us were never really taught to pray in a way where we can talk and listen to God. Think of our parish as a school of prayer ready to draw you into the comfort and peace of knowing Jesus.. Learn more about prayer and how to go deep at Holy Spirit.
Discipleship and Adult education
Jesus invited people to follow him as disciples, then he formed them and finally equipped them to go to the whole world. You are invited into this same mystery. We are here to serve you by inviting something even beyond us and accompanying you in this journey.
Raising our children in the Faith
Our children and youth are the source of so much joy. And with that comes concern in the difficult world in which we live. Holy Spirit is dedicated to helping our parents raise their children in the Faith. Already at age 3 we invite the little ones to Catechesis of the Good Shepherd, a hands on experience of drawing children into the mystery of faith. Much of our efforts go into our Catholic school which starts at 3 years of age with the Little Deacon program and extends to 5th grade at Holy Spirit Elementary School. Catholic education may continue to 12th grade at Sacred Heart and Shanley. Wednesday evening catechesis and Sacramental preparation are also offered. Our innovative youth program called Youth Discipleship gears up our youth to become faithful adults through parents, mentors, and the parish working hand in hand in this momentous task.
Take care & God Bless,
Fr. Ross Laframboise, Pastor
