What are Youth Discipleship Groups (YD)?

• YD is the primary ministry for youth in grades 6-12 at Holy Spirit parish.
• A group of 4-8 guys or 4-8 girls journeying together in the life of discipleship with the help of one to two adult mentors
• The youth help one another in following Jesus Christ throughout their middle/high school years (and perhaps beyond).

What is Expected of each Youth Discipleship group?

• Meet 2-4 times per month at a location/time that works best for the group.
• Foster the growth in discipleship of Jesus Christ and His Family, the Catholic Church.
• Maintain confidentiality, transparency and accountability with its members.

What Can YD Expect from the Parish?

• Informational support and direction for parents
• Assistance recruiting, managing and supporting mentors.
• Informative and instructional communications to the parents and mentors. 
• Help facilitating interaction between Youth Discipleship Groups 
• Curriculum Planning & Materials, Mentor training, Activity Ideas and other resources.
• Financial support for group activities.
